Prohibited Products Overview

Swift Fulfill fulfillment centers in the United States (U.S.) do not support the handling of products listed under the Prohibited Products section below, as they cannot be safely stored or shipped. If products that violate these guidelines are sent to a Swift Fulfill fulfillment center in the U.S., they will be returned or disposed of at the sender's expense (if we cannot safely return them to you).

Additional Notes:
  • Swift Fulfill is not liable for any costs related to the return or disposal of such products or for any lost revenue associated with them.
  • Products that cannot be safely shipped back to your company will be disposed of.
  • For questions regarding whether Swift Fulfill can store and ship your products, please reach out to your Implementation Specialist, Merchant Success Specialist, or the Swift Fulfill Merchant Care team before shipping your products to a Swift Fulfill fulfillment center.

Prohibited Products

  • Products that have been illegally replicated, reproduced, or manufactured.
  • Products prohibited by law in their place of origin, destination, or any location they might pass through.
  • Products containing unauthorized marketing materials.
  • Products that do not fit within Swift Fulfill's standard packaging.
    • If your products cannot be packed within Swift Fulfill’s standard packaging but fall within our allowed weight and dimensions, they must be ship-ready (i.e., ships in their own container) or your company must provide custom packaging.
    • If the products are not ship-ready and custom packaging is not provided, Swift Fulfill will be unable to ship them.
  • Products exceeding the following dimensions and/or weight when packed on a pallet: 54x48x40 inches (137.16 x 121.92 x 101.6 cm).
  • Products for which a consumer safety advisory, warning, or recall has been issued.
  • Pre-owned electronics.
  • Defective and/or damaged products.
    • A quality check for obvious signs of defects or damages is completed by Swift Fulfill’s Operations team during the receiving process. Please refer to this article for more information.
  • Any other products Swift Fulfill deems unsuitable.

Examples of Prohibited Products

Examples of prohibited products include, but are not limited to:

  • Agricultural Products

    • Live, dead, or dried plants and animals.
    • Perishable products.
    • Soil or soil-enhancing products.
  • Hazardous Products (Some hazardous products are prohibited, while others are accepted with restrictions. Please contact your Implementation Specialist, Merchant Success Manager, or the Swift Fulfill Merchant Care team to confirm whether Swift Fulfill can store and ship your products.)

    • Biohazards (or any product that may contain contagions).
    • Corrosive materials (e.g., mercury, sulfuric acid).
    • Explosives (e.g., ammunition, fireworks, flares).
    • Flammable solids (e.g., wet wipes).
    • Fertilizers and pesticides.
    • Lead-acid batteries.
    • Poison.
    • Radioactive materials.
    • Raw chemicals.
    • Toxic gas (e.g., chlorine).
  • High-Value Products

    • Any item with a manufacturing value above USD $250.
    • Currency.
    • Precious metals or bullion (e.g., gold, silver).
  • Pharmaceutical Products

    • CBD products.
    • CBD products containing Delta-8.
    • Hemp products.
    • Prescription drugs.
  • Weapons or Weapon Accessories

    • Aiming accessories.
    • Ammunition.
    • BB guns.
    • Firearms and firearm accessories.
    • Pepper spray.
    • Tasers.
  • Other Products

    • Alcoholic beverages containing any alcohol content above 0.00%.
    • Counterfeit products.
    • Drug paraphernalia.
    • Engines.
    • Military or law enforcement equipment (e.g., protective gear, restraints, night-vision devices).
    • Raw hemp (e.g., products made from hemp seed, hemp seed oil, hemp flower).
    • Tobacco (or any product that may contain nicotine).
    • Vape products.

Restricted Products Overview

Restricted products must receive written approval from Swift Fulfill and meet strict requirements before entering a Swift Fulfill fulfillment center. If restricted products are sent to a Swift Fulfill fulfillment center without explicit approval, they will be returned or disposed of at the sender's expense.

  • For inquiries on whether Swift Fulfill can store and ship your products, please contact your Implementation Specialist, Merchant Success Specialist, or the Swift Fulfill Merchant Care team before shipping your products to a Swift Fulfill fulfillment center.

Examples of Restricted Products

Examples of restricted products include, but are not limited to:

  • Swift Fulfill can only store and ship airsoft guns (or any item resembling a firearm) via UPS with written approval from Swift Fulfill.
  • Swift Fulfill can store and ship adult products and toys if they are packaged discreetly.
  • Swift Fulfill can store and ship knives (and other sharp objects) if they are safely packed in their own hard packaging.
    • Loose knives that are not contained in packaging that allows for safe handling cannot be stored or packed by Swift Fulfill.
  • Swift Fulfill can only store and ship Class I medical devices. Note: Other classes of medical devices are not accepted.
  • Swift Fulfill can store and ship approved hazardous materials products, provided the product has a maximum weight of 15 pounds (6.80 kg), including the item, packaging material, and dunnage.
    • Ensure your product and packaging are under the 15-pound (6.80 kg) weight limit.

  • Swift Fulfill can only store and ship batteries if they adhere to Swift Fulfill’s Battery Policy and have a maximum weight of 15 pounds (6.80 kg), including the item, packaging material, and dunnage.
    • Ensure your product and packaging are under the 15-pound (6.80 kg) weight limit.

  • Swift Fulfill can store and ship products exceeding 50 pounds (27.2 kg) only with written approval from Swift Fulfill.
  • Swift Fulfill can store and ship pseudo-pharmaceuticals (non-prescription medication/supplements) only with written approval from Swift Fulfill.
  • Swift Fulfill can store and ship pressurized canisters (e.g., aerosol cans) only with written approval from Swift Fulfill.
  • Swift Fulfill can store and ship oxidizing substances (e.g., peroxides, cleaning products) only with written approval from Swift Fulfill.
